The Left's Meltdown Over L'Affaire Bergdahl

 

Since the only evil villains the Left recognises are on ‘the Right,’ everyone else is either a hero or a victim. Because Bergdahl is sooooo obviously NOT a hero, the Left is forced to try to turn him into a victim or, in their moral equivalent world, no worse than the other guys.

While I understand how combat might cause irrational acts, especially in people that are already unstable, I cannot become sympathetic to people, who violate their oaths and the law.

The real victims here are those that were killed and injured looking for this little bastard.

The real victims are the families.

The real victims are those that went through hell searching for the little bastard.

LOTS of soldiers in Afghanistan became troubled by what they were living through, but they didn’t desert and relay their intentions to renounce their citizenship and go over to the Taliban, if that is what Bergdahl, in fact, did.

Bergdahl CHOSE to act as he did and he is NOT a victim. During the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI, or WWII, he would have been SHOT for what he did.

He MUST be made to face the consequences of his actions and bear the responsibility. It would be completely unfair to other soldiers and destroy discipline in the military.

I do not want to hear anything about how he ‘has suffered enough.’ BS. We court martialed a guy who deserted to North Korea during Vietnam and made him serve time - albeit only 30 days - in prison…40 years after he returned. Further, if ‘suffering enough’ is going to be the test, then, if someone is seriously injured during his apprehension, then I guess we shouldn’t prosecute, convict and imprison him for the murders that he committed. After all, he has suffered sooooo much. Boo-hoo!

Army MSG Mark Allen was one of the many heroes that searched for Bowe Robert Bergdahl. What did he get for his efforts? A bullet to the brain.  MSG Allen’s wife would like people to meet her husband:

'Meet my husband, injuries directly brought to you by the actions of this traitor. He can’t give an account of what went down, because he can no longer speak. Now, which guy is a ‘hero’ again?!? Sick.”
