First Brown ...Then Red

On Saturday, we first had the American Nazi Party come out and join the Obama-endorsed Occupy Wall Street movement and, in a 21st century version of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the Communist Party USA has also joined the movement.

It is an exciting time in the world!  Our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama, has achieved a feat unaccomplished in decades .... brought Nazis and Communists together in a show of solidarity and sense of purpose .... to destroy capitalism, especially the kind practised by those "nasty Jooooooos" that Reverend Wright hates so much.

From the CPUSA website:
This is an exciting time! Thousands of mainly young people have been occupying Wall Street for three weeks already, and the “Occupy Movement” has spread to more than 200 other cities. On Oct. 6 the actions spread to our nation’s capital.

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) will hold a national teleconference to discuss it:
Arturo Cambron
The Communist Party and the Occupy L.A. Movement
Tuesday, October 11, 8 pm Eastern
Teleconference number: 605-475-4850 (please note this is the corrected number. ignore previous.)
Access code: 1053538#
Southern California Party leader Arturo Cambron will share how the CPUSA and Young Communist League (YCL) are working in “Occupy Los Angeles.”
This movement, also known as the “99% movement,” is being hailed across the country.
Movements and organizations are reaching out in solidarity. The AFL-CIO is opening union halls and offering other material assistance. Ordinary people are donating food, money and materials.
In many areas, the “Occupy Movement” is linking up with the National American Wants to Work Week of Actions, Oct. 10-16.
No doubt the “Arab Spring” demonstrations and those that exploded in Wisconsin, Ohio and elsewhere have inspired it. But underlying it all is the economic crisis, the massive unemployment and growing realization that nothing is getting better, and in fact we may be slipping into a “double dip” crisis. The crushing student debt and the feeling of being locked out of society with no future compound this.
The movement is the newest wrinkle in the all-people’s upsurge against the banks and corporations and reflects a new level of class-consciousness.

Has ‘Occupy Wall Street’ Been Sucked Into A Global Socialist Movement?

Based on a well-produced video circulating around the Internet, it appears that Occupy Wall Street is now officially part of a global push towards Socialism.

This video makes connections between the Occupy Wall Street protests and:
Uprisings in Tunsia and Egypt – both countries where a “President” had been ruling those countries for 21 years and 30 years, respectively.
Riots in Greece sparked by talks of austerity and needed financial reforms in reaction to unsustainable social programs.
Do the American protesters want the same things as the people in Tunisia and Egypt demanded? If so, do they realize that means that they want the government removed and replaced?

The group behind this video makes no bones about what they want. And while it may be too late for the Wall Street protesters to avoid being lumped in with this organization, they should know what the 15october group is really asking for.

Their intentions are posted online for all to see.

Consider just two from their list of five demands:

Faced with this material and existential precarity we demand the democratization of the economic system  and European governance.  This will allow the construction of a new economic model of social welfare based on two aspects: the guarantee of an unconditional access to income (basic income for everybody) and the effective and free access to social rights and common wealth (education, health care, housing, knowledge, environment).

Do the people occupying Wall Street really want -”the guarantee of an unconditional access to income (basic income for everybody) and the effective and free access to social rights and common wealth (education, health care, housing, knowledge, environment)?”

Sophie:   I've found a longer and more disturbing version of the video:

More "patriotism" on display at Occupy Portland....

"Fuck the USA!"

Well, Well, Well, Who Didn't See This Coming A Mile Away?!?!

Considering the legions of anti-semitic incidents that we, along with others, have covered, the answer should be "No one."
