Pics of the Day: Er, President Obama, You Were Saying Something About The Syrian People...

2012

Yeah, soooo, the Asshole-in-Chief has once again responded to the predictable results of his failure by lecturing the American people. We are racists. We are selfish. We aren't abiding by our own values and traditions. We aren't respecting 'universal values' (which do not exist...just look at how much religious freedom or freedom of speech exists in the Muslim world or China, for example). We aren't acting very 'Christian'. We are being downright mean and un-American.

Well, just exactly how much has President Obama done for the people of Syria whilst Assad dropped chemical bombs on them (other than draw and erase a red line) and ISIS chased, tortured, raped, and murdered them out of their homes?  Why does he get to care now when he quite obviously didn't much then?

Look at the picture above. Look at the one below. Look at the dates.  Yep.

2011

So, let's just tell President Obama what he really needs to hear:

Why The Number '8' Tells You Everything You Need To Know About #Obama's War On #ISIS

When it comes to national security, Obama really has put the country behind the 8-ball

The night before last, I was listening to a podcast as I fell asleep. I heard a factoid that, somehow, just utterly crystallised how much of a failure Obama and his response to ISIS has been. Keep this one number in mind the next time you get into a debate with a Leftist:

8

What does it represent?

The number of pick-up trucks that the US military has destroyed in its operations against ISIS.

Why is it so devastating?

Does anyone believe that Eisenhower, Patton, etc gave a shit about how many of the enemies' vehicles the US military destroyed, especially enough to actually count them?  Anyone want to venture a guess how many trucks were destroyed in Dresden, Hiroshima or Nagasaki in one day?

Think about it. ISIS conducts manoeuvers and parades on a near daily basis throughout cities and towns in Syria and Iraq, as well as the vast, open spaces of the desert connecting them.  One of the universal symbols of these activities is the pick-up truck loaded with jihadists.  They move in columns.  The United States military could take out dozens of trucks along with the hundreds of fighters riding within them in a matter of minutes and yet...

OBAMA HAS KILLED A GRAND TOTAL OF EIGHT TOYOTAS IN HIS AIR STRIKES ON ISIS, WHICH OPERATES PRIMARILY IN WIDE, OPEN DESERT SPACES, OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS.

EIGHT.

8!

That number tells you everything you need to know about Obama's War on ISIS:

It's really non-existent;

His heart isn't in it;

He doesn't really care;

And, ISIS is winning.

#RefugeesWelcome: The JV Team Launches New Offencive In The War On...Americans And Common Sense

refugeeswelcome

Why is it the West's responsibility to take in mostly Muslim 'refugees', 73% of whom are military-age men? We are called selfish, xenophobic, bigoted, etc, if we don't accept, without reservation, all of these refugees. Why aren't these people going to countries with which they share a common religion, culture, and language? Caliphate construction? Furthermore, why isn't the West demanding the rest of the world step up to the plate for a change?

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Saudi Arabia?

No, but it has offered to build 200 mosques in Germany.

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Iran?

No, but it has sent 50,000 troops to back Assad.

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Qatar?

No, 'it would expose us to terrorism.'

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Kuwait?

No, 'it would expose us to terrorism.'

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Bahrain?

No, 'it would expose us to terrorism.'

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of the UAE?

No, 'it would expose us to terrorism.'

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the world's largest Muslim-majority country of Indonesia?

Yes, 7,000 are...sort of...They must be Muslims...and Malaysia and Bangladesh must agree to accept some of the 7000.

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Jordan?

No, 'we have enough of them and Pallies already, thank you very much!'

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Lebanon?

Not anymore.

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the Muslim-majority country of Pakistan?

A number 'infinitesimally small.'

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the world's largest country w/ the second largest economy, China?

No.

Are 'RefugeesWelcome in Japan?

No.

Are #RefugeesWelcome by Il Papa at The Vatican?

Bien sûr! Il Papa certainly couldn't come to the US & join the Asshole-in-Chief in lecturing us that we must open our hearts, hearths, and wallets to Syrian 'refugees' or we're evil, greedy monsters...so, obviously, the Vatican is making #RefugeesWelcome by...accepting TWO...temporarily!

Are #RefugeesWelcome in the living quarters at the #WhiteHouse?

No.

Are #RefugeesWelcome at 5046 S Greenwood Avenue, the Obamas' empty crib in Chicago?

Yeah, right! The man, who lectures US that we must be our brother's keeper while his own brother still lives on $3 a day in a hut in Kenya, is going to open the doors of his manse to a bunch a 'smelly savages.'  PUH-lease.  Can you please pass the Grey Poupon Have you seen the price of arugula lately???

We're told that we shouldn't be the 'world's policeman'. Fine. We're told that we should not try to impose our values on others.  Fine.  But, we are supposed to let others impose their values on us while demanding that we play the role of the world's piggy bank?  Well, honey, they can fuck that and the horse that rode in on them (reversed on purpose...think about it).

They want us to withdraw from the world? OK, fine. They can take responsibility and pay for it...for a bloody, fucking change.

Super Thunderdome: Thousands of #SyrianRefugees and Hundreds of Thousands of #KatrinaSurvivors Enter. Few Will Leave.

You know, if I wanted to guarantee not only a cultural clash, but a full-on, hot cultural war, there's really no place better to put a bunch of single, military age 'Syrian refugees' than The City That CARE Forgot, New Orleans. Laissez les bon temps rouler, Allahu Akbar, y'all!

You've got the French Quarter where Pride was kewl when straight little girls in the Castro District still assumed that rainbow flags went with her My Little Pony; celebrations and festivals of public drunkenness, lewd behaviour and the LBNTT (Little Black Nipple Tassles & Thong); Mardi 'Show Me Your Tits!' Gras; etc.  Then, you have drive-thru alcoholic beverage establishments; Catholic Churches, schools, fairs, monuments, buildings, and streets galore; a vibrant Jewish community; gambling; a pro team named 'The Saints' and official holidays for All Saints Day and Ash Wednesday.

If that wasn't enough, you have a very poor and government-dependent minority majority population.  Approximately 65% of the city is African-American and a vast majority of them are on public assistance.  Not only are dey all ways tayrd, deys ain't no ways up to sharing any of Obama's Stash or the political power that they've accumulated over the last five decades with some Muslim 'refugees' from a place they couldn't find on the globe...and that's not meant to be a racist statement. I mean 1 in 7 Americans cannot find the United States on a world map, 37% have no idea where Iraq is and a majority of our 'educated' snowflakes cannot find the State of New York on a map...even when New York City is identified.

If you think the woman, who was standing in hip-deep water screaming for someone to come 'Save me! Save me!' during Katrina when there was a dry porch not 25 feet away from her in the background is going to lay out the welcome mat to Mo from Mayadin, then I can get some prime Katrina-era Superdome stadium seating for you at reasonable prices (I'll have to check with my supplier, Axe, but I think maybe one or two seats managed to survive intact with minimum urine, feces, and vomit stains and only a couple of cigarette burns).

Further, all of this doesn't even take into account 'territory'.  The Syrians are going to find it difficult to establish themselves, especially if they plan on engaging in illicit activities.  And, they won't find the cops to be much of a help.  Although I've heard they are a lot better than they used to be, it does say something about the NOPD that it managed to put two of its own on Death Row back in the 90s.

And, of course, who isn't armed? From sportsmen, businessmen, homeowners, people who live and/or work in dangerous areas (which is almost anywhere since you can travel down one of the main avenues admiring multi-million dollar mansions, make a turn, travel a couple of blocks, and land right in front of the ObamaForAmerica and #BlackLivesMatter office where some protesters are screaming about 'REPARATIONS!' and for 'WHITE PEOPLE, GO HOME!'),  criminals, and gangbangers.

So, yeah, if you wanted to start a real, hot culture war, dumping a bunch of young Muslim men from one war zone into another would probably do it.

Walter L. Newton mentioned that the numbers of Syrians that have apparently been dumped in the Crescent City have been greatly inflated and that is most probably 100% true, but you do have to admit that the possible Thunderdome ramifications of dumping 10,000 mostly young, male Muslims from one war zone into another are both amusing on a macabre level and present loads of literary opportunities.

It's not like it's only the Syrian 'refugees' that are unwanted guests. If you will recall, Houston couldn't wait to get rid of their New Orleans Katrina refugees, who also brought with them their local 'customs and traditions.'

Exit Question: Who blows up the levees first?

Hey, maybe, Phil Robertson can play Moses and stand atop the Superdome with staff in hand and intone: 'Let my people go!'

Then, our resident screenwriter, Jacks, made an appearance and I had to mention the possibility of her doing a treatment.

Hiya, Jacks!
Hope all is well.
I was thinking of what you could do with:

Super Thunderdome: Murder, Mayhem, and Martyrdom in the Confederacy of Dunces.

10,000 Muslims confront 380,000 drunks, strippers, gays, gangbangers, layabouts, drag queens, drug dealers, Catholics, arsenal owners, and work-to-players in The Big Easy.

Many will enter.

Few will leave.

She replied...

Good evening, Bishbop. It’s a pleasure to see you.
lol! If Obama and his pals have their way that first 10,000 will be a drop in the bucket. The idea is to hand them green cards, split them into groups, and settle them in smaller cities and town across the nation as quickly as possible, similarly to the ‘unaccompanied children’ from Central and South America  who crashed the border.
I don’t think they’d get a chance to enjoy Mardi Gras or eat etouffee before they were flown out for resettlement…
…but I’d walk to New Orleans if I had to just to be there to see it if they did.
- thatsafactjack on November 15, 2015 at 11:54 PM

But, just imagine it!!!

In Sweden, Planners have routed the Gay Pride Parade to snake through a very Muslim neighbourhood. Teh Gheys flung poop at the Kalashnikov-toting members of a 7th century death cult.

I'd pay for their tickets to the Southern Decadence Festival!

What began as a simple going-away party in 1972 has evolved into one of New Orleans’ premier annual events: Southern Decadence. Held annually over Labor Day weekend, this celebration of LGBT culture attracts over 180,000 participants from all over the world.
Nicknamed the "Gay Mardi Gras," Southern Decadence is one of those quintessential New Orleans occasions in which participants get to strut their stuff in elaborate costumes and high fashion or barely anything at all!
Everyone gets in on the action and all the bars will have their own drag shows, contests, DJs, music and events.
Grab a costume, wander around the French Quarter, take a Gay Walking Tour, and visit one of the city's gay bars. Some years also include an outdoor concert near Bourbon and St. Ann streets.
Starting at the Golden Lantern bar, the Grand Marshal leads the marchers and their floats through French Quarter streets to the delight of appreciative crowds all along the parade route. Former Grand Marshals have included Bianca Del Rio, Lisa Beaumann, and Tami Tarmac. Weekend themes have included "Decadence Does Disco", "Leather & Feathers", and "Jazz & Jezebels".
As Liberace once said, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful."

I think that they'd just love it!!!/

lol! We should be sure their informed that it’s an orientation tour and this area is representative of the nation’s strict sense of modesty and decorum.

- thatsafactjack on November 16, 2015 at 12:20 AM

Absolutely. And, we should absolutely provide them with written flyers in their native languages instructing them that the men in black leather with the assless chaps are the American version of the Islamic Vice and Virtue Police.

Also, we might want to provide them with the lyrics to Macho Man and the physical movements that accompany YMCA so that they will not feel left out when the Village People Tribute Band takes the stage.

Oh, and they should be told that all proud Citizens of the World, who hate American imperialism, colonialism, capitalism, and militarism never wave the American flag. They show their pride by waving the Rainbow flag and attaching similar decals to their cars and home windows.

Bishbop, so evil, in a good way :)

Good that you’re back.

Glenn Beck, The Nazarene Fund, & The Rescue of Persecuted, Syrian Christians

The decapitated body of a small Christian girl murdered in Syria by ISIS

The name of the person who posted this last night is irrelevant since s/he is just the latest to make a snide comment about Glenn Beck and refugees. At least, s/he had the good sense to avoid foolishly mocking the man with teddy bears, endless crying, and hypochondria while making erroneous statements about Beck’s supposed positions. Alas, some others have not had such self-control.

'Isn’t Glenn Beck pretty much totally on board the drive to bring in “refugees”? (if I recall correctly, don’t listen to him)'

- xxxxxxx on November 15, 2015 at 10:44 PM

No, Glenn Beck doesn’t support bringing in every poor, oppressed, sad, lonely, sick, pitiful, etc, man, woman, child migrant, refugee, and immigrant. He didn’t want to keep the unaccompanied minors from Central America. He wanted them returned to their parents. He just thought that we could be Americans, grown-ups, people of faith, values, and principles, and treat the least amongst us with a bloody teddy bear. My fucking Allah, judging from the reactions of some of you, one might have thought that you confused citizenship papers with plush toy.

Anyhoo, onward to the pressing issue of Beck’s alleged plan to smuggle in 4 million Syrian Muslims or something…

Here’s the deal. He is working with a multinational Christian group to rescue Syrian Christians that are being vetted by church officials, local authorities, and other agencies. The vetting process for each has been ongoing for months so they are doing what the EU and Obama are not even attempting. Tonnes of documentation must be produced and every avenue is being taken to verify authenticity. The priest, who verifies their identity, is the same one the baptised them, taught them, offered them communion, married them, etc.

At most, IIRC, he is talking about bringing 800-1000 Syrian Christians out of the country. They may not even be coming to the US although he has said that he would, personally, walk some across the border – AND DO THE PRISON TIMEbecause the Obama administration is denying refugee status disproportionately to Syrian Christians while opening the floodgates to Syrian Muslims.

One of the main parts of the group is from Canada, which is led by Johnny Moore, and I believe that the Vatican may also be involved. At least one UN agency is also helping although I’m unsure whether it is doing so ‘officially’. They also have former CIA and MI6 agents ON THE GROUND doing MOST of the heavy lifting when it comes to vetting.

- Me, 15 November 2015 at 10:59 PM

As I originally wrote last night, the groups initially planned to rescue less than 1,000 Christians from some of the most ancient villages in all of Christendom. Mercury One and The Nazarene Fund, however, have raised in excess of $11 million. Thus, if they can be assured of the authenticity of other individual Christian families, they may expatriate them, as well. It is all very hush-hush. The Christians are currently in hiding and former military (likely those with Special Ops experience or who have worked on the extraction plans with people like Marcus Luttrell, Tim Ballard, and others that work with Beck on projects) will have to undertake a dangerous mission to get them out safely. Once the vetting process has been completed, the Christians have to be secreted securely out of some of the most dangerous areas of Syria either over the border into Turkey or, perhaps, lifted to Israel. And, that’s just the beginning of the ordeal. If they are as lucky as absolutely possible, they MIGHT be able to rescue 2,000 Syrian Christians from certain death.

In World War II, Oskar Schindler saved 1,200 Jews from absolute death in the Holocaust. For this, he has been rightly honoured as one of the Righteous Among The Nations…not to mentioned memorialised by Stephen Spielberg and celebrated by Jews and non-Jews alike for his humanitarianism.

No one is suggesting that Glenn Beck should be referred to a present-day Oskar Schindler or one of the Righteous Among The Nations, but, my good people, what would you do? What would you have done in Schindler’s shoes? I bet nearly all of you can quote Niemöller’s poem and tell of the faith and heroism of Bonhoeffer.

I also am willing to wager that a good many of you have all but convinced yourselves that you would have saved Schindler’s 1,200 Jews and more, written an even more emotive and evocative poem than Niemöller, and your tomes on faith, love, forgiveness, and the willingness – no, the requirement – to lay one’s life down for another will lead to decades of theologians pointing to your words as absolute proof of the Holy Ghost’s speaking through you.

If you are a Christian and you know that there is a little Christian girl in a hiding place in Syria (maybe an attic like that in which the Jewess Anne Frank hid or behind a false wall where many Jewish girls crouched, as they were guarded by another Righteous Among The Nations, Corrie Ten Boom) who – once found – will face a short, but terrible time being gang-raped before she is murdered. What would you do?

Last night, this news broke:

Everyone KNOWS what ISIS does to Christians. Barack Obama knows that these savages just don’t pick out some ‘random’ dudes to parade along a beach in Hillary Clinton Orange jumpsuits and decapitate. John Kerry knows that the bloody swaths that these barbarians have made through Christian communities aren’t ‘unbelievably small.’ They know. THEY. JUST. DO. NOT. FVCKING. CARE.

But this news that, literally (and not Joe Biden ‘literally’), broke minutes ago should just chap they cold-blooded arses:

Prime Minister of Slovakia, who has refused to accept on behalf of his people the EU’s quota of Muslim ‘refugees’, has just agreed to ACCEPT AN ENTIRE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY OF REFUGEES TO BE DELIVERED TO THE FORMER COMMUNIST COUNTRY BY THE NAZARENE FUND!!!

Listen, I don’t want ANY ‘Syrian refugees’ in Europe or here…at least in my strict sense of the world. But, I know that we are going to get some regardless of my feelings. I’d much rather invite in those that share cultural and traditional values and don’t have a religious animus against freedom and liberty. If we leave it up to Obama, Kerry, and McCain (remember, he SCREAMED at the Syrian Christians that came to the Capitol for 20 minutes while making kissy-faces with the Syrian representatives from the Muslim Brotherhood), we’ll have a Paris once a week.

After The #ParisAttacks, Will Politicians FINALLY Admit That These Attacks DO Have Something To Do With Islam? They Aren't Helping Anyone By Telling This 'Noble Lie', Especially Muslims That Want Nothing To Do With Islamism.

By Douglas Murray

The West’s movement towards the truth is remarkably slow. We drag ourselves towards it painfully, inch by inch, after each bloody Islamist assault.

In France, Britain, Germany, America and nearly every other country in the world it remains government policy to say that any and all attacks carried out in the name of Mohammed have ‘nothing to do with Islam’. It was said by George W. Bush after 9/11, Tony Blair after 7/7 and Tony Abbott after the Sydney attack last month. It is what David Cameron said after two British extremists cut off the head of Drummer Lee Rigby in London, when ‘Jihadi John’ cut off the head of aid worker Alan Henning in the ‘Islamic State’ and when Islamic extremists attacked a Kenyan mall, separated the Muslims from the Christians and shot the latter in the head. It was what President François Hollande said after the massacre of journalists and Jews in Paris in January. And it is all that most politicians will be able to come out with again after the latest atrocities in Paris.

All these leaders are wrong. In private, they and their senior advisers often concede that they are telling a lie. The most sympathetic explanation is that they are telling a ‘noble lie’, provoked by a fear that we — the general public — are a lynch mob in waiting. ‘Noble’ or not, this lie is a mistake. First, because the general public do not rely on politicians for their information and can perfectly well read articles and books about Islam for themselves. Secondly, because the lie helps no one understand the threat we face. Thirdly, because it takes any heat off Muslims to deal with the bad traditions in their own religion. And fourthly, because unless mainstream politicians address these matters then one day perhaps the public will overtake their politicians to a truly alarming extent.

If politicians are so worried about this secondary ‘backlash’ problem then they would do well to remind us not to blame the jihadists’ actions on our peaceful compatriots and then deal with the primary problem — radical Islam — in order that no secondary, reactionary problem will ever grow.

Yet today our political class fuels both cause and nascent effect. Because the truth is there for all to see. To claim that people who punish people by killing them for blaspheming Islam while shouting ‘Allah is greatest’ has ‘nothing to do with Islam’ is madness. Because the violence of the Islamists is, truthfully, only to do with Islam: the worst version of Islam, certainly, but Islam nonetheless.

In January a chink was broken in this wall of disinformation when Sajid Javid, the only Muslim-born member of the British cabinet, and one of its brightest hopes, dipped a toe into this water. After the Charlie Hebdo attacks, he told the BBC: ‘The lazy answer would be to say that this has got nothing whatsoever to do with Islam or Muslims and that should be the end of that. That would be lazy and wrong.’ Sadly, he proceeded to utter the second most lazy thing one can say: ‘These people are using Islam, taking a peaceful religion and using it as a tool to carry out their activities.’

Here we land at the centre of the problem — a centre we have spent the last decade and a half trying to avoid: Islam is not a peaceful religion. No religion is, but Islam is especially not. Nor is it, as some ill-informed people say, solely a religion of war. There are many peaceful verses in the Quran which — luckily for us — the majority of Muslims live by. But it is, by no means, only a religion of peace.

I say this not because I hate Islam, nor do I have any special animus against Muslims, but simply because this is the verifiable truth based on the texts. Until we accept that we will never defeat the violence, we risk encouraging whole populations to take against all of Islam and abandon all those Muslims who are trying desperately to modernise, reform and de-literalise their faith. And — most importantly — we will give up our own traditions of free speech and historical inquiry and allow one religion to have an unbelievable advantage in the free marketplace of ideas.

It is not surprising that politicians have tried to avoid this debate by spinning a lie. The world would be an infinitely safer place if the historical Mohammed had behaved more like Buddha or Jesus. But he did not and an increasing number of people — Muslim and non-Muslim — have been able to learn this for themselves in recent years. But the light of modern critical inquiry which has begun to fall on Islam is a process which is already proving incredibly painful.

The ‘cartoon wars’ — which began when the Danish paper Jyllands-Posten published a set of cartoons in 2005 — are part of that. But as Flemming Rose, the man who commissioned those cartoons, said when I sat down with him earlier this year, there remains a deep ignorance in the West about what people like the Charlie Hebdo murderers wish to achieve. And we keep ducking it. As Rose said, ‘I wish we had addressed all this nine years ago.’

Screen Shot 2015-11-14 at 15.14.00

Contra the political leaders, the Charlie Hebdo murderers and the latest Paris attackers were not lunatics without motive, but highly motivated extremists intent on enforcing their Islamic ideas on 21st-century Europe. If you do not know the ideology — perverted or plausible though it may be — you can neither understand nor prevent such attacks. Nor, without knowing some Islamic history, could you understand why — whether in Mumbai or Paris — the Islamists always target the Jews.

Of course, some people are willing to give up a few of our rights. There seems, as Rose says in his book on the Danish cartoons affair,The Tyranny of Silence, some presumption that a diverse society requires greater limitations on speech, whereas of course the more diverse the society, the more diverse you are going to have to see your speech be. It is not just cartoons, but a whole system of inquiry which is being shut down in the West by way of hard intimidation and soft claims of offence-taking. The result is that, in contemporary Europe, Islam receives not an undue amount of criticism but a free ride which is unfair to all other religions. The night after the Charlie Hebdo atrocities I was pre-recording a Radio 4 programme. My fellow discussant was a very nice Muslim man who works to ‘de-radicalise’ extremists. We agreed on nearly everything. But at some point he said that one reason Muslims shouldn’t react to such cartoons is that Mohammed never objected to critics.

There may be some positive things to be said about Mohammed, but I thought this was pushing things too far and mentioned just one occasion when Mohammed didn’t welcome a critic. Asma bint Marwan was a female poetess who mocked the ‘Prophet’ and who, as a result, Mohammed had killed. It is in the texts. It is not a problem for me. But I can understand why it is a problem for decent Muslims. The moment I said this, my Muslim colleague went berserk. How dare I say this? I replied that it was in the Hadith and had a respectable chain of transmission (an important debate). He said it was a fabrication which he would not allow to stand. The upshot was that he refused to continue unless all mention of this was wiped from the recording. The BBC team agreed and I was left trying to find another way to express the same point. The broadcast had this ‘offensive’ fact left out.

I cannot imagine another religious discussion where this would happen, but it is perfectly normal when discussing Islam. On that occasion I chose one case, but I could have chosen many others, such as the hundreds of Jews Mohammed beheaded with his own hand. Again, that’s in the mainstream Islamic sources. I haven’t made it up. It used to be a problem for Muslims to rationalise, but now there are people trying to imitate such behaviour in our societies it has become a problem for all of us, and I don’t see why people in the free world should have to lie about what we read in historical texts.

We may all share a wish that these traditions were not there but they are and they look set to have serious consequences for us all. We might all agree that the history of Christianity has hardly been un-bloody. But is it not worth asking whether the history of Christianity would have been more bloody or less bloody if, instead of telling his followers to ‘turn the other cheek’, Jesus had called (even once) for his disciples to ‘slay’ non–believers and chop off their heads?

This is a problem with Islam — one that Muslims are going to have to work through. They could do so by a process which forces them to take their foundational texts less literally, or by an intellectually acceptable process of cherry-picking verses. Or prominent clerics could unite to declare the extremists non-Muslim. But there isn’t much hope of this happening. Last month, al-Azhar University in Cairo declared that although Isis members are terrorists they cannot be described as heretics.

We have spent 15 years pretending things about Islam, a complex religion with competing interpretations. It is true that most Muslims live their lives peacefully. But a sizeable portion (around 15 per cent and more in most surveys) follow a far more radical version. The remainder are sitting on a religion which is, in many of its current forms, a deeply unstable component. That has always been a problem for reformist Muslims. But the results of ongoing mass immigration to the West at the same time as a worldwide return to Islamic literalism means that this is now a problem for all of us. To stand even a chance of dealing with it, we are going to have to wake up to it and acknowledge it for what it is.

SoRo:

Dr Zhudi Jasser, for one, is not even in the same Muslim universe as Anjem Choudary.  I am afraid, however, if our leaders, political opinion makers, and intellectuals continue to appease Radical Islam and deny that acts carried out in the name of Mohammed have 'nothing to do with Islam', they are going to create amongst the general population a belief that all Muslims are alike - those that sound different are merely practising taqiyya - and, therefore, all adherents of Islam must be annihilated.

The people are not stupid and have various and sundry ways in which to gather the actual truth.  When the facts are at complete odds with those asserted by leadership, it isn't truth that suffers. It is trust and faith in our institutions and those that run them. I don't care how many times Angela Merkel tells me the sky is green. I know better. I don't care how many times President Obama and Secretary Clinton LIE and blame an obscure YouTube video for a preplanned, highly-organised terrorist attack which resulted in the murders of four Americans and the injuries of dozens more.  Their words mean nothing. In fact, because of their demonstrable lies, people are more apt to believe the opposite of whatever they say.

By denying the role that Islam is playing in this, which will likely be looked back as WWIII, when at least some version of it obviously is only harms our ability to fight this war in a way that we can win it, as well as making every Muslim tainted by the barbaric actions of their extremist co-religionists and hampers the former's efforts to modernise and reform the faith.

Not all Muslims are evil or terrorists. Not even close. But lying about the actions of some Muslims does not protect the innocent.  It merely widens the umbrella of suspicion so as to cover them.

I would trust Dr Zhudi Jasser over many Christians, Jews, and Atheists that I know.  My fear is that, one day, because of the insistence on telling a 'noble lie', he will be considered every bit as dangerous as Anjem Choudary.

That would be an injustice and a tragedy.

And, for all of you geniuses who claim that Islam plays no role, the Caliphate of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has a BA, MA and PhD in Islamic studies from the Islamic University of Baghdad and you have, what, a BA in the transectionality of race, gender, and sexual orientation in the 21st century?  lolz

How Many More People Must Die Before We Cease In The Insanity Of Appeasing Islamists?

Why aren't we standing up to the enemy within? We have within our midst thousands of people whose lives are devoted to doing our society harm.

By Charles Moore

Forty years ago, as a student, I lived in Boulevard Voltaire, the scene of some of the killings on Friday night. Paris was not an untroubled place at that time. The violent events of 1968 were still a recent memory, and I witnessed plenty of left-wing demonstrations.

There were also some serious problems about immigration, mainly related to the French decolonisation of Algeria, but there was an overwhelming difference between then and now. All the arguments – even the postcolonial ones – were framed within the context of European civilisation. Even the pro-Soviet Left and Arab nationalists who dreamed of building better societies argued within that context. In France, both left and right invoked their own interpretations of the French Revolution to make their case.

'There is no reason why attacks just as terrible as those in Paris will not take place in London, Manchester, or Birmingham.'

So although many feared – and some supported – social upheaval, I do not remember anyone predicting what has actually happened. If I had said to my archetypally French beret-wearing grocer in Boulevard Voltaire, or even to some professor of political science at the Sorbonne, that in the next generation France would have to struggle against murderers waving the green flag of Islam rather than the red flag of Communism, and that their purpose would be not the transformation of Western civilisation, but its defeat and destruction, they would barely have understood me.

What is much more extraordinary is that a great many modern European leaders and policymakers still do not understand it. If they did, they would not be expressing "shock" at Friday’s attacks. They would have been expecting them.

There are respects in which France’s plight is worse than Britain’s. It has many more Muslims – its second city, Marseille, now has a Muslim majority – and they are perhaps more ghettoised than ours. It has land borders, and we do not.

It is part of the Schengen passport-free area, and we are not. It insists on secularism almost as the definition of citizenship, and we do not. But the similarities are much greater than the differences, and there is no solid reason why attacks just as terrible as those in Paris will not take place in London (or Manchester or Birmingham).

This is because of the implacable enmity of Islamism. It is a highly political version of Islam which cleverly mixes the modern blogosphere world of grievance and conspiracy theory with the sanctity of ancient texts ill-understood but passionately invoked. It has some advocates who are not themselves personally violent, but its entire idea is a violent one.

Essentially, Islamism is a doctrine which provides a reason to hate and kill everyone who does not subscribe to it. Start with the people in the front line of your malice – Jews, Christians in the Arab world, the professional soldiers of infidel countries. Progress to those who transgress your morality – "loose" women who do not cover their faces, homosexuals, people who drink alcohol, people who dance and sing. And then end up with anyone – everyone – who does not submit to the will of Allah, as interpreted by your pop-up theologians. Isil is the apotheosis of this: a would-be state based upon the annihilation of all diversity. The most beastly atrocities are, in its collective mind, the best proof of its purity.

It would be harder to imagine a clearer foe, yet we still have difficulty making policy in the light of the threat. After seven years in the White House, President Obama still cannot bear so much as to mention its religious aspect. He sees it all as a distressing misunderstanding arising from colonial wrongs and the fact that George Bush was President before him.

The whole of the West led – or rather, not led – by Mr Obama has failed to confront the effect of the civil war in Syria. It has therefore allowed Isil both physical and ideological space.

In Britain, Members of Parliament, including almost as many Tory as Labour ones, continue to think that by refusing to authorise intervention in Syria, we can avoid trouble. Such people may claim their view is reinforced by what happened in Paris: if we have nothing to do with the Middle East, its fanatics will leave us alone. They are like the eccentric political party in Denmark in the 1960s which briefly shot to about 25 per cent in the opinion polls with a defence policy of leaving a tape-recorded message for the Soviet Union in government offices saying "we surrender".

In fact, no civilisation can survive without the means of defending itself, and those means include an expeditionary capacity. Diplomacy, foreign policy and trade have to be backed up by the ability to project force across the world to support our allies and confront our enemies. In this generation, most of our leaders have abandoned this idea. Now they seem surprised that we are left weak.

What brings it all home, literally, is immigration. Even if it is true, as it probably is, that the great majority of Muslims are as peace-loving and decent as any other group of people, you have simple problem of numbers. If a million Muslims, thanks to Angela Merkel, are reaching Germany this year, and even if only one per cent of them subscribe to the doctrines of Isil, that still means 10,000 people dedicated to killing their hosts and assailing the society that accommodates them.

And such as the power of Islamist grievance culture and their infiltration of social media, charities, community groups, mosques and public-policy forums, that one per cent would be a very conservative estimate. The grim fact is that we have within our midst thousands on people whose lives are devoted to doing our society harm and tens of thousands more who are susceptible to the lies they tell. Yet still our policies magnify their voices and swell their numbers.
