After Yesterday's 'Million People For Common Sense Gun Control March' In DC, I Guess Gun-Grabbers Like Obama, HotAirLib, And Nonpartisan Really Showed Us

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel

Following the defeat of Schu-Man-Too in the Senate, some of the usual suspects at Hot Air weighed in with their righteous idiocy and prognostications...

'Americans who agree with my ideology outnumber your kind. My team always and I mean always wins when Americans come out in great numbers to vote.'

- HotAirLib on April 22, 2013 at 1:51 PM

'How could this cost them the senate if 90% of Americans, 80% of gunowners, and 70% of NRA households favor it?  The cowards who voted no, on the other hand, may be in for a surprise when reelection comes.'

- nonpartisan on April 18, 2013 at 11:23 AM

'Obama is showing his anger on behalf of the parents of newtown.  He is angry that the congress is so limp as to not even able to pass something that 90% of Americans, 80% of gunowners, and 70% of NRA households support.  He is livid at the cowards who have let the newtown victims die in vain.  It is righteous anger.'

'Erika, you have to understand, this issue is not political for the democrats.  Its a losing issue.  President Obama is pushing this not for political points, but to prevent more innocent deaths.  Whether you agree or disagree with the policy, you must understand his intention is noble.'

Not content to let Obama, HotAirLib and nonpartisan stomp their widdle feetsies in vain, their fellow gun-grabbers decided to stage a massive, 'Million People For Common Sense Gun Control March' in Washington, DC.

The good news?  They did manage to draw more people than Sandra Fluke's massive crowd at her GOTV rally at the Sak ‘N Save in North Reno, Nevada, which was about 10 people give or take one cowboy poet.

The bad news?  Including the press, they were about 999,900 people short of their goal.  But, hey, it's the thought and speeches that count, right?

From Charlie Spiering at The Washington Examiner:

'I swung by the Stop the NRA March this afternoon to watch the protest and march against gun violence. I was late, but caught two of the speeches before the crowd started marching.

Participating organizations include Public Campaign, Occupy the NRA, CREDO, Every Child Matters, Moveon, United For Change, USA, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, The Other 98%, and We Act Radio.

As Buzzfeed’s Evan McMorris-Santoro noted earlier this morning, the event featured the debut of a new anti-NRA poster* created by Shepard Fairey – the designer of the famous Obama ‘Hope’ poster.

A generous estimation of the crowd size would have been about 100 people, including members of the media.

Meanwhile, heading into the 2014 midterms, John Insane and FuckYou Schumer have pledged that gun-grabber legislation WILL RETURN like the creature from the black lagoon before the end of the year.

All that I can say is:

You go, girls!
