Oh, the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say, okay
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don't want to play no more with you
It's true
Oh, the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say, okay
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don't want to play no more with you

"Americans often tell pollsters they yearn for a return to the Christian
principles on which the U.S. was founded. If so, they should take a
closer look at the Romney-Ryan ticket. Jesus’s teachings regarding
wealth are nowhere to be found in Paul Ryan’s budget proposals.
Theologically informed individuals are beginning to weigh in on the
ethics of Paul Ryan’s budget plan. Sister Simone Campbell, executive
director of Network, a Catholic social justice lobby, has called Ryan’s
budget proposal “unpatriotic” and “immoral.” As she notes, Ryan’s
budget “rejects church teaching about solidarity, inequality … and the
common good.” In a recent address at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
Campbell observed that it’s the government’s responsibility to control
society’s excesses. “In our culture of individualism,” she said,
catholic social teachings can “counter that individualism with a keen
knowledge of solidarity.”
Ms Christakis:
1. Do me a favour and keep your church out of my state.
2. If Sister Simone Campbell is so worried about budget cuts, tell her to ring up the Pope and ask him to send Uncle Sam a few tril...the Vatican is one of the wealthiest organisations on the face of the Earth.
3. If the Bishops did indeed send that letter to Paul Ryan, please tell them that I will give a shit about what they wrote when they start excommunicating Democrats for promoting abortion, contraception, and homosexuality, which are all forbidden by the Church to which they belong and serve. The same goes for Sister Simone Campbell.
4. Please remind Sister Simone Campbell and the Bishops that the Federal government is NOT their friend. The Catholic Church made a grave error when it got in bed with the government beginning in the 1930s to perform "charitable works." Charity does not come from the figurative barrel of a gun held by the IRS. As the Church should now realise, Uncle Sam has a different idea of what constitutes charity than does the Church. Paying for or subsidising contraception and abortions aren't, I would imagine, the kind of "charitable works" the Church had it mind when it jumped into bed with the government.
5. Let the Church focus on getting its own house in order, including turning in paedophile priests to the police, and let us work on ours before we go off the fiscal cliff.
6. You might also want to know that, according to Obama's own Medicare commission, Medicare will "end as we know it" in 2024 without substantial reform.
7. Lastly, in the U.S. Bishops’ Conference statement of 17 April 2012 on the Federal budget, "Bishops Blaire and Pates reaffirmed the “moral criteria to guide these difficult budget decisions” and their very first order was "Every budget decision should be assessed by whether it protects or threatens human life and dignity."

Do you or any other Progressive want to sign on with that part? If not, you appear to be much more "un-Christian" than Paul Ryan.
"As near as we can tell, Jesus would advocate a tax rate
somewhere between 50% (in the vein of “if you have two coats, give one
to the man who has none”) and 100% (if you want to get into heaven, be
poor). Mostly, he suggested giving all your money up for the benefit of
others. And Jesus made no distinction between the deserving and
undeserving poor; his love and generosity applied to all."
- Erika Christakis, Is Paul Ryan's Budget 'Un-Christian'?, Time, 14 August 2012
BS. You need to learn the difference between charity and taxation.

Oh, the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say, okay
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don't want to play no more with you
It's true
You're motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight
Babe, you know
You're growing up so fast
And mama's worrying
That you won't last
To say, let's play
Sister Christian
There's so much in life
Don't you give it up
Before your time is due
It's true
It's true, yeah
Motoring
What's your price for flight
You've got him in your sight
And driving thru the night
Motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight
[Instrumental Interlude]
