SoRo: 'Cuz, like, um, ya know, the globalists totally destroyed the American family, not Progressives.
'A loss of wages has much more to do with divorce rates than
homosexuality or other kinds of sexual progressivism. And its divorce
that has broken what you imagine as the American family (a construct
which needs to be unpacked). The “American family” is not a productive
economic unit in and of itself. Without a decent wage the kids produced
by the American family need to be subsidized.'

WHERE DID I SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY OR OTHER KINDS OF SEXUAL PROGRESSIVISM IN MY POST?
I didn’t.
WHERE DID I SAY ANYTHING ABOUT SEX, PERIOD, IN MY POST?
I didn’t.
I said ‘the break-up of the American family.’
This was in reference, primarily, to the phenomenal growth in the
welfare state and the premium in the shape of rewards to unwed mums and
its companion punishment of legitimacy.
Please don’t attempt to draw me into your homosexual sex on the brain. I’m uninterested.
BTW, I loathe Dowderisation.

Reading (comprehension) is fun(damental).
Whether you know it or not, your second sentence proves my point.
Now, if you could only add in illegitimacy, which is the greatest
predictor of failed adulthood that there is.
But, focus like a laser on HomoSex, which I didn’t even raise nor
about which I care. Spread your cheeks and get fvcked in the ass as
much as you want. No KY Jelly/Butt Butter off of my back.
'Moynihan has been debunked….that whole gambit is over. It
isn’t welfare that hurts the black family, its poverty. People in
poverty tend to seek out welfare. But the problem is poverty.
- libfreeordie on June 5, 2013 at 1:28 PM
No, he hasn’t nor did he his comments apply only to
African-Americans. The poverty rate is the same as it was in the 1960s.
The reaped seeds of family destruction sown decades ago speak for
themselves.
Let’s look at blacks, welfare, illegitimacy, and other social problems:
A study of 1880 family structure in Philadelphia shows that
three-quarters of black families were nuclear families, comprised of two
parents and children. In New York City in 1925, 85 percent of
kin-related black households had two parents. In fact, according to
Herbert Gutman in “The Black Family in Slavery and Freedom: 1750-1925,”
“Five in six children under the age of 6 lived with both parents.”
In the 1930s, the black illegitimacy rate was 17%.
In the 1960s, the black illegitimacy rate was 21.4%.
From 1965 to present, black illegitimacy rates have gone up from 24%
to 72% – a three-fold increase, but keep in mind that over the same time
frame, white illegitimacy rates have gone up from 2.3% to 29%.
On a macro level:
* Poverty rates are highest for families headed by single
women, particularly if they are black or Hispanic. In 2009, 29.9% of
households headed by single women were poor, while 16.9% of households
headed by single men and 5.8% of married-couple households lived in
poverty.
The destruction:
* At 72%, the African-American illegitimacy rate is 3 times the white
rate, and African-American women have abortions at 3 times the white rate.
* Per capita income of African-Americans is less than one-half
that of non-Hispanic whites, and non-Hispanic Caucasians have 11 times
the asset wealth.
* 47% of African-American households use some form of welfare, the second highest rate of any major population group.
* Blacks are 5.0 times more likely to be in prison than whites;
they are 8.0 times more likely to be in prison for murder, and 5.0 times
more likely to be in prison for felony drug crimes.
* Young African-Americans are 27 times more likely than young
whites (and slightly more likely than young Hispanics) to be in youth
gangs.
* The African-American drop out rate is 53%.
* The African-American literacy rate is 38.1%.
* 50% of African Americans read at or below the 5th grade level.
Shall we also look at Hispanics, too?
* At 53%, the Hispanic illegitimacy rate is more than twice the white rate (23%) among whites, and Hispanic women have abortions at 2.7 times the white rate.
The destruction is obvious:
* Per capita income of Hispanics is one-half that of non-Hispanic whites, and household net worth is less than one-tenth.
* 50% of Hispanic households use some form of welfare, the highest rate of any major population group.
* Hispanics are 3.3 times more likely to be in prison than
whites; they are 4.2 times more likely to be in prison for murder, and
5.8 times more likely to be in prison for felony drug crimes.
* 34.9% of all Federal prisoners are Hispanic (U.S. Bureau of Prisons)
* Young Hispanics are 19 times more likely than young whites (and
slightly more likely than young blacks) to be in youth gangs.
* Hispanics drop out of high school at three times the white rate and twice the black rate.
* Even third-generation Hispanics drop out of school at a higher
rate than blacks and are less likely to be college graduates.
* From 1992 to 2003, Hispanic illiteracy in English rose from 35% to 44%.
* The average Hispanic 12th-grader reads and does math at the level of the average white 8th-grader.
Whites and Asian-Americans are trending in the same direction.
‘From the wild Irish slums of the 19th century
Eastern seaboard to the riot-torn suburbs of Los Angeles, there is one
unmistakable lesson in American history: a community that allows a large
number of young men to grow up in broken families, dominated by women,
never acquiring any stable relationship to male authority, never
acquiring any set of rational expectations about the future – that
community asks for and gets chaos.’
– Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Family and Nation, 1965
Moynihan warned presciently about the disaster of black family
breakdown when the black illegitimacy rate stood at what would today be
regarded as a paradisal 23%. In response, liberal elites turned Moynihan
into a pariah and shut off all discussion of the topic for the next
four decades—during which time the national black illegitimacy rate
exploded to 72%.
‘Today by far the greatest contributor to the
perpetuation of the misery of ghetto life. . . It is the aspect of life
in the ghettos over which the people there have the most control, and
it will be the last and hardest thing to change.’
– Nicholas Lemann, Progressive, The Origins of the Underclass, The Atlantic Magazine
While causation in the social sciences is a thorny issue, a growing
number of social scientists find the connection between family breakdown
and anti-social behaviour to be persuasive. BTW, President Obama,
evidently agrees with what Moynihan prophesied given the fact that he
has also spoken about the lack of fathers and how he finished his
education, got married, AND THEN HAD CHILDREN while urging the African-American community, in particular, to do the same.
If you look at any demographic data from the Federal
government, you will notice that illegitimacy began to skyrocket in
1965, which coincidentally was when most welfare programmes were put
into place.
After Welfare Reform was put into place in
1996, AFDC/TANF caseloads dropped by roughly 50 percent and the
illegitimacy rate also fell. Opponents of Welfare reform charged that
reform would throw millions of children into poverty. In reality, child
poverty has dropped substantially since reform was enacted, from 20.8%
in 1996 to 16.9% in 1999.
The intention of Welfare programmes is to benefit low income
Americans, especially children. Yet, the evidence indicates that
children and parents are actively harmed rather than helped by welfare.
Nearly all welfare aid for children goes to single parent
households. But current research indicates that both Welfare dependence
and single parenthood have significant deleterious effects on
children’s development, impeding their ability to become successful
members of mainstream society.
* Prolonged Welfare dependence reduces children’s IQ levels.
* Dependence also reduces a child’s earnings in future years; the
longer a child remains on AFDC in childhood the lower will be his
earnings as an adult.
* Being raised on Welfare also increases the probability that a child
will drop out of school and will be on Welfare as an adult.
* Analysis shows that these effects are caused by Welfare per se, not
simply poverty; a poor child without Welfare will do better than a
similar poor child with welfare.
* Out-of-wedlock childbearing and single parenthood are the principal causes of child poverty and Welfare dependence in the US.
* Children raised in single parent families are more likely to:
experience behavioural and emotional problems; suffer from physical
abuse; engage in early sexual activity, and do poorly in school.
* Boys raised in single parent households are more likely to engage
in crime; girls are more likely themselves to give birth outside of
marriage.
* These effects are the result of the collapse of marriage per se
rather than poverty; a poor child living with a mother and father united
in marriage will do better than a similar poor child living in a single
parent home.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, children born to single mothers are:
* 5 times more likely to commit suicide
* 32 times more likely to run away
* 20 times more likely to have behavioural disorder.
* 14 times more likely to commit rape
* 9 times more likely to drop out of school
* 10 times more likely to abuse chemical substances
* 9 times more likely to end up in a state-operated institution
* 20 times more likely to end up in prison
Women have been encouraged not to marry. Illegitimacy is a primary
cause of poverty and this fact is present in every demographic group.
'Moynihan has been debunked….that whole gambit is
over. It isn’t welfare that hurts the black family, its poverty. People
in poverty tend to seek out welfare. But the problem is poverty.'

He has? See all of the above and then re-read:

Wake up Black America, its later than you think!! Read the new book"The Unfinished Business of the Civil Rights Movement:Failure of America's Public Schools to Properly Educate its African American Student Populations.."
From the NYT:
Hispanic Pregnancies Fall in U.S. as Women Choose Smaller Families
Hispanic women in the United States, who have generally had the highest fertility rates in the country, are choosing to have fewer children. Both immigrant and native-born Latinas had steeper birthrate declines from 2007 to 2010 than other groups, including non-Hispanic whites, blacks and Asians, a drop some demographers and sociologists attribute to changes in the views of many Hispanic women about motherhood.
As a result, in 2011, the American birthrate hit a record low, with 63 births per 1,000 women ages 15 to 44, led by the decline in births to immigrant women. The national birthrate is now about half what it was during the baby boom years, when it peaked in 1957 at 122.7 births per 1,000 women of childbearing age.
The decline in birthrates was steepest among Mexican-American women and women who immigrated from Mexico, at 25.7 percent. This has reversed a trend in which immigrant mothers accounted for a rising share of births in the United States, according to a recent report by the Pew Research Center. In 2010, birthrates among all Hispanics reached their lowest level in 20 years, the center found.
