This is the Political Economy That Barack Built, A Mother Axelrod Faerie Tale

M2RB:  Aerosmith

Dream On, Dream On, Dream On

Yeah, sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me, just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away

"This whole thing is the biggest faerie tale I've ever seen."

- Bill Clinton, 2008

By Barry Rubin
From the Collected Fairy Tales of Mother Axelrod
This is the taxpayer
Who paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the company that
Manufactured the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the hardworking small businessperson who
owned the company that
Manufactured the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the public school teacher who gave the class
Taken by the hardworking small businessperson who
Manufactured the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the administrator who wrote the curriculum
That directed the public school teacher who gave the class
Taken by the hardworking small businessperson who
Manufactured the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the Department of Education bureaucrat who
Wrote the forms
Filled out by the administrator who wrote the curriculum
That directed the public school teacher who gave the class
Taken by the hardworking small businessperson who
Manufactured the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

This is the president who
Set the policy
That directed the Department of Education bureaucrat who
Wrote the forms
Filled out by the administrator who wrote the curriculum
That directed the public school teacher who gave the class
Taken by the hardworking small businessperson who
Manufactured the cargo that
Filled the truck that
Ran over the IRS agent
That harassed the taxpayer
That paid for the road that Barack built.

Moral:  Barack Obama owns everything but if you vote for him or, even better, give a large donation, he might let you keep what he decides is your fair share.

Important note: I didn’t write the above on my own. I couldn’t have done it if President Obama hadn’t made those speeches and Elizabeth Warren hadn’t given him the idea.

Dream On - Aerosmith

Every time I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by, like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay

Yeah, I know nobody knows
where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin
You got to lose to know how to win

Half my life's
in books' written pages
Lived and learned from fools and
from sages
You know it's true
All the things come back to you

Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away

Yeah, sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me, just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away

Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dream comes true
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dream comes through
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On, AHHHHHHH

Sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away
Sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away......
