A Big Swing And A Big, Fat Miss: You Were Saying Something About Bain & Outsourcing????

M2RB:  Blink-182, The Wreck Room, Atlanta, 1996

A freight train to the right, feeling that sting of pride
It's fucking with me, it's fucking with you
All's fair in love and war until you say it isn't but you're wrong

You're gonna drown in the mess you make
Your self-inflicted hate
You turn your back on the friends you lose
When they don't follow all your rules

But people are what they wanna be

They're not lemmings to the sea
Maybe it's time you looked at yourself
And stop blaming life on someone else

“Romney created the corporate culture at Bain Capital, and Bain even bragged about being a one-stop shop for clients’ outsource requirements. BUT I guess Republicans just have to BELIEVE that Mitt was not involved in all the outsourcing of jobs at Bain during those years! Isn’t belief wonder! Who needs facts and evidence!!”

Guess who was making the decisions about GST Steel in 2001 while Mitt was running the Olympics?

Jonathan Lavine

Guess who was making decisions about outsourcing jobs from Sensata Technologies in 2011 — long after Romney left Bain?

Jonathan Lavine

Who is Jonathan Lavine?

He is the Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer of Bain Capital, Inc.

Do you know who else Jonathan Lavine is?

He is one of Obama’s top campaign financiers and bundlers. He has raised more that $200,000 in contributions for the 2012 Obama Victory Fund, according to estimates released by the Obama campaign.

At least FIVE of the executives, who were running Bain between 1999 and 2002, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Obama’s campaigns and he has very happily cashed their cheques.

If Bain Capital is so bad, why has President Barack Obama taken $118,121 in campaign donations from them between June 2004 and May 2012, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks Federal Election Commission data?

Lemmings - Blink-182

A freight train to the right, feeling that sting of pride
It's fucking with me, it's fucking with you
All's fair in love and war until you say it isn't but you're wrong

Words on the back of flyers, my clothes are in the dryer
It means nothing, nothing is changing
La familia is dead and gone, the children grew up and moved on

Is it too much to ask for the things to work out this time?
I'm only asking for what is mine
I wanted everything, I got it and now I'm gonna
Throw it away, I'll throw it away (yeah)

Prime select and a box of glazed, pulling fly-bys on days
When we were young and innocent
Elbow-drop Sundays when Mark Eaton got beat to shit

Laughing at the bands we hate, all the spots we used to skate
They're still there, but we've gone our own ways
I know it's for the best but sometimes I wonder
Will I ever have friends like you again?

Is it too much to ask for the things to work out this time?
I'm only asking for what is mine
I wanted everything, I got it and now I'm gonna
Throw it away, I'll throw it away (yeah)
