Gaian Cultists: Ike Calling

M2RB:  Halcyon Way

Oh, look at those lifeless leaves
All their precious pride is taken away
A lost creation for a graven image
Trembling of nothing, but their own fear

Elements of deception must entwine
Righteous greed and derangement divine
Vacuum is given to the blind

To surrender to a faith so fake
To not comprehend while you're awake
Thrive on your deity for Heaven's sake

Do lose your battle before actual birth
For some sheep need the company of a shepherd
To face the scorn of Mother Earth

Dear Gaian Cultists:

Ike calling!

Do you recall the words of warning that I gave about the military-industrial complex? Do you know about which I warned immediately following?  Have you ever bothered to read the rest of my speech?

‘Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system -- ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.’

It’s truly too bad that you aren't as skeptical and worried about the scientific-technological elite as you are of the MIC.

Sincerely,

President Dwight David ‘Ike’ Eisenhower

Five-star general in the United States Army and the 34th President of the United States

I guarantee that whatever the next Armageddon that the Henny Penny Alarmists come up with, their prescriptions will be exactly the same because the Green Movement has never truly been about the environment.  At its essence, it is about power, control, redistribution, and virtue-signalling.

Intentional or not, it says something that the First Earth Day was held on 22 April 1970...the 100th anniversary of the birth of one Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov…known globally as LENIN.

Not even Pioneers in the field of Climatology and Climate Science continue to be slavish puppets to their original theories and dogma.

Before he shocked the global cooling/coming ice age/global warming/climate change/climate chaos/coldest-winters-on-record-for-500-years-are-meaningless-because-weather=/=climate/hottest-summers-since-the-1990s-or-1930s-plus-dry-hurricanes-are-evidence-of-climate-change-because weather = climate/whatever-du-jour International Community of Climate Cultists in early 2012 BY ADMITTING THAT CLIMATE CHANGE IS 'NOT HAPPENING', he said this:

‘Even the best democracies agree that when a major war approaches, democracy must be put on hold for the time being. I have a feeling that climate change may be an issue as severe as a war. It may be necessary to put democracy on hold for a while.’

- Dr James Lovelock, Humans Are Too Stupid To Prevent Climate Change, 23 March 2010

He was a ‘true believer’ and so was Fritz Vehrenholt, a GIANT and EVANGELIST in the global warming movement, who said:

‘I feel duped on climate change.’

‘Climate change’ can be happening and the skeptics can still be correct.  For starters, the climate has been changing since the beginning of the Earth.  Secondly, there is considerable debate, even amongst those that actually believe in climate change as to how much of a role man plays, whether it is substantial, the degree that other sources may be much more directly the cause (sun, water vapour, etc.), and how much can man do to combat it.  Personally, I believe that it is the height of hubris, narcissism, and arrogance to believe that, not only is man large enough to make such an impact, but that he can control the climate.

Don't be a dupe.  Follow the money.

And, if not influenced by money, many environmentalists have become downright radical and/or eco-freaks.  If you want to live under the conditions, as described by some of the following, fine, just leave the rest of us alone.  You, nutters, need to find your own habitat.

Don't be these guys...

‘Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialised civilisations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?’

- Maurice Strong, founder of the UN Environment Programme

‘A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the United States.  De-development means bringing our economic system into line with the realities of ecology and the world resource situation.’

- Paul Ehrlich, Professor of Population Studies

‘The only hope for the world is to make sure there is not another United States.   We can't let other countries have the same number of cars, the amount of industrialisation, we have in the US. We have to stop these Third World countries right where they are.’

- Michael Oppenheimer, Environmental Defense Fund

As an aside, I have to say that Rachel Carson and the legions of readers of her book, The Silent Spring, sure gave it the good, ole college try. Carson led the movement to have the United Nations adopt an international ban on the mosquito exterminator, DDT. As a result of this ban, untold millions of black and brown people in Third World Countries have died.  And, now, celebrities and charities have to beg for your money in order to provide millions of mosquito netted tents to help save these poor people, who are victims of Western Environmental Imperialism.  You see, after famines in Ethiopia and the Congo and genocides in Rwanda and, it is no longer politically-correct to ‘stop Third World Countries in their tracks (with the unsaid aim of depopulating them).

Don't be these guys either...

‘Global Sustainability requires the deliberate quest of poverty, reduced resource consumption and set levels of mortality control.’

- Professor Maurice King

‘We must make this an insecure and inhospitable place for capitalists and their projects. We must reclaim the roads and plowed land, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams, free shackled rivers and return to wilderness millions of acres of presently settled land.’

- David Foreman, co-founder of Earth First!

Complex technology of any sort is an assault on human dignity. It would be little short of disastrous for us to discover a source of clean, cheap, abundant energy, because of what we might do with it.’

- Amory Lovins, Rocky Mountain Institute

‘The bigger the population gets, the more serious the problems become…. We have to address the population issue. The United Nations, with the U.S. supporting it, took the position in Cairo in 1994 that every country was responsible for stabilizing its own population. It can be done. BUT IN THIS COUNTRY, IT'S PHONY TO SAY ‘I'M FOR THE ENVIRONMENT BUT NOT FOR LIMITING IMMIGRATION…[As for the Capitalists’ arguments] The economy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the environment, not the other way around.

-     Senator Gayford Nelson, (D-WI), one of the creators of and leading crusaders for the UN adoption of the first International Earth Day, early environmental zealot, and the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom from – no surprise here – President Bill Clinton, whose Vice-President was none other than the man who has said his goal is to become THE WORLD’S FIRST GREEN BILLIONAIRE (or Watermelon Billionaire):  AL GORE

The prospect of cheap fusion energy is the worst thing that could happen to the planet.’

- Jeremy Rifkin, Greenhouse Crisis Foundation

'A belief in man-made climate change, and the alleged resulting moral imperatives, is capable if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations.'

- Sir Michael Burton, Mr Justice, High Court Queen's Bench Division, England and Wales

'Science is my religion.'

- Timothy McVeigh

What was it that Marx said?  Oh yes…

RELIGION IS THE OPIATE OF THE MASSES.

So, while EnviroNazis eschew theology in favour of science, their zeal in Climate Change (or whatever they decide to call it on any given day) is no less an opiate. For them, environmentalism and fabricated climate ‘science’ IS their religion.

They sneer at the nuns praying the rosary in front of Planned Parenthood, but fail to see their own religiosity when they call for the prosecutions of those who fail to convert to their faith.

Crippled and caged, anaesthesia adjust
The lambs of slaughter, blinded by trust
