"I, personally, know 3 Hilary Rosens that frequent the White House."
- Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary
Sure, you do, Baghdad Jay. The WH guest log has only ONE HILARY (ONE "L") B. (YES, B., AS A MIDDLE INITIAL) ROSEN entered and, according to www.howmanyofme.com, there are only TWO Hilary (with one "L") Rosen-s in the United States. So, not only does Baghdad Jay know both of them, he knows an extra one from some place else and all three frequent the White House.
Now, Baghdad Jay, everyone knows that you are full of shit. Since you won't tell the people the truth, I will. Ms Hilary B Rosen, who was recently hired by Democratic National Committee Chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, as a public relations / media consultant has visited the White House 35 times since Barack Obama became President of the United States. According to the visitor's log, this is with whom she met on the following dates:
03.11.09: Met with Valerie Jarrett.
03.13.09: Met with David Axelrod.
03.30.09: Met with Director of the Office of Political Affairs for the Obama administration, Patrick Gaspard, who is now Executive Director of the DNC.

Bottom line: For the last three years, Hilary B Rosen has met nearly
three dozen times with top Obama communications and political
strategists from Valerie Jarrett to David Axelrod to Anita Dunn to Jim
Messina to the President himself. To put her 35 visits in perspective, compare them to these:
General David Petraeus: 9 times
Energy Secretary Stephen Chu: 16 times
Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki: 19 times
Former CIA director and current Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta: 12 times
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner: 40 times
The AP reported that her meetings were primarily about promoting Obama’s health care reform plan, suggesting that she can take a share of the credit for the popularity and public trust that the Obamacare law enjoys today. Seriously. I know. My sides are killing me, too. Between her work on healthcare and this public relations disaster, she really should probably start looking for a new career. (Update: I have just heard that she was hired to do the PR for BP after the spill in the Gulf of Mexico, too -- eyeroll!!!)

On to Hilary Rosen, let's take a look at her actual comments last night because the brouhaha has been focused on only one part of what she said:
"Well, first, can we just get rid of this word, “war on women”? The Obama campaign does not use it, President Obama does not use it — this is something that the Republicans are accusing people of using, but they’re actually the ones spreading it. With respect to economic issues, I think actually that Mitt Romney’s right, that ultimately, women care more about the economic well-being of their families and the like. But he doesn’t connect on that issue either. What you have is Mitt Romney running around the country saying, “Well, my wife tells me what women really care about are economic issues.” And, “When I listen to my wife, that’s what I’m hearing.” Guess what? His wife has never actually worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing — in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school, and how do — why we worry about their future."
Got that? It has been the Republicans, who have not only been waging the "War on Women," they even coined the term -- obviously, because it is such a winna!!!
"Well, if it's not a war on women, then let's just look at what happened this week in contraception."
- Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL)
"Is the GOP waging a war on women? We have seen attacks on women’s access to health care, attacks on childcare and education, attacks on our ability to live with whoever we choose, severe limitations on our right to vote and our ability to hold office."
- BarackObama.com
"The war on women is real."
- Vice-President Joe Biden, Democrat, 04.12.12

- Vice-President Joe Biden, Democrat, 04.12.12
"Together, we’ll put an end to the Republicans’ unrelenting war on women, seniors, and the middle class.
Thank you, Nancy"
- Nancy Pelosi, fundraising letter, 2012
"A few weeks ago, just as the Republicans' "war on women" was capturing national attention, the Republican National Committee decided to argue President Obama was the one who was actually waging a "war on women." It was silly; it was impossible to take seriously; and the RNC dropped the line pretty quickly."
- Steve Benen, The Rachel Maddow Blog, MSNBC, 11 April 2012
"Sign this petition today and tell Speaker Boehner and the Republicans that they're wrong, that women DO matter and that we want this new Republican war against women to stop now."
- Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY)
“I think that — that statement that he made demonstrates [the GOP's] desperate fear about what is happening with this War on Women that they started. There is a war on women. There has been a lot of discussion about the Ryan budget and what they have tried to do to deny contraception to women, but it’s more than that. It goes to many places in this budget. Whether you’re talking about childcare or Head Start or food stamps, you will see that there’s definitely a War on Women.”
- Congresswoman Maxine Waters, 6 April 2012
“The national media and our opponents will use our grassroots
fundraising totals to measure the strength of our opposition to the
Republicans’ War on Women.”
"The GOP’s contraception hearing was a top secret treehouse: No Girls Allowed (Untrue). They’ve branded birth control pills a weapon of mass destruction. Their idea of a health care system is a Band-Aid and a bottle of aspirin. I laugh to keep from throwing stuff. These guys are dangerous. They will do anything to win – whether it’s waging war on women or imploding our economy. They’ve released the right-wing hounds on President Obama and our Democratic Senate. We have a whopping 23 seats to defend. They only need to win 4."
- James Carville, 2012
"The right wing will do anything to destroy President Obama – including waging war on women’s health rights and burning the entire economy to the ground. It’s time to pull the fire alarm.
- Donna Brazile, 2012
"Republicans not only want to reduce women's access to abortion care, they're actually trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they haven't yet. Shocker."
- Planned Parenthood, stopthewaronwomen.org
"There is actually a war on women. Abortion is one issue but contraception and family planning and birth control are opposed by this crowd too. Understand what is at risk here."
- Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, 2011
"Mitt Romney has tried to turn Democrats’ claim of a “war on women” by the GOP against them this week, accusing President Obama of waging his own “war on women.” Slower job growth for female workers, Romney insists, is evidence of Obama’s war."
- Talking Points Memo, 11 April 2012
"Dear MoveOn member: It might seem hyperbolic to say that Republicans have declared a war on women. Sadly, it’s not."
- MoveOn.org, 19 February 2011
“One would restrict funds going to Planned Parenthood–women's health care issues–which I call the war on women.”
- Senator Charles Schumer
“I’m here, once again, to stand against the ongoing War on Women…”
- Rep. Barbara Lee, (D-CA) 8 March 2012
“To my Republican colleagues, shame on you for waging your hypocritical war on women…”
- Rep. Gary Peters, (D-MI), 8 March 2012
“Despite these accomplishments in women’s health, the war on women continues in Texas…”
- Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, (D-TX), 21 March 2012
“Declaring a war on women by eliminating family planning services and punishing the one in five women across America who visit a Planned Parenthood clinic?”
- Rep. Barbara Lee, (D-CA), 10 March 2011
“Instead of another very cynical attempt to repeal health reform and perpetrate their war on women…”
- Rep. Barbara Lee, (D-CA), 3 May 2011
“I’m standing here today, equally proud to defend that law from the ongoing war on women…”
- Rep. Louise Slaughter, (D-NY), 21 March 2012
“Planned Parenthood, in particular, has been unfairly targeted in this war on women…”
- Rep. Gary Peters, (D-MI), 29 March 2012
“I will continue to urge my Republican colleagues to stop their war on women and seniors…”
- Rep. Steve Israel, (D-NY), 26 March 2012
“…the GOP’s war on women stands in stark contrast to the Administration’s goal of ensuring that women have access to the healthcare services they need to remain healthy.”
- Rep. Laura Richardson, (D-CA), 21 March 2012
“One would restrict funds going to Planned Parenthood–women’s health care issues–which I call the war on women…”
- Sen. Benjamin Cardin, (D-MD), 14 April 2011
“...and now they are making a war on the majority of America, women…”
- Sen. Charles Schumer, (D-NY), 17 February 2012
“But beyond that, over the last year or so, we’ve seen the Republicans essentially declare war on women…”
- Rep. Frank Pallone, (D-NJ), 21 March 2012
“In closing, we have to stop this war against women and against children…”
- Sen. Barbara Boxer, (D-CA), 3 March 2011
"For the Republican uncivil war on women, we’ll need a take-no-prisoners Democratic general."
- Maureen Dowd, Don't Thread on Me, 13 March 2012
The latter part of this post once again explains from whence the title of the blog came: Sir Winston Churchill. You must first know two quotes:
"Russia: A country with an unpredictable past."
"History will be kind to me for I intend to write it."
If Churchill were alive today, he would say that Progressives have a predictable history because they write it, but an unpredictable past because, once you actually go back and study it, things aren't as you've been told.
Here are some of the examples of how Stalin "airbrushed" his enemies out of Soviet history after he iced them.
LOL! I'm sure that there are more than a few Progs that would love that power.
Update (04.13.12): Just in case you thought that Rosen's attack was a slap at Ann Romney's
wealth, take a look at what this male chauvinist pig had to write over
at Mother Jones:
“I don’t blame Ann Romney for marrying a man whose salary and family wealth made it such that she didn’t have to work.
I do blame Ann Romney, Axelrod, and everyone else who has tried to imply that women who are housewives, domestic engineers, or whatever other in-vogue term they are being called today, work as hard as women who for whatever reasons (financial need or personal ambition) work outside of the home."
- Stephen Robert Morse
Make no mistake, the Left looks down on women, who stay at home and take
care of their children. They look at those women as traitors to the
"Womyn's Rights" movement.
Feminists are pro-choice if you want to abort Trig Palin, but not if you want to give birth to him.
Feminists are pro-choice if you want to have a career outside of the home, but not if you choose to be a full-time mum.
Yes, Hillary could have stayed home and baked cookies and held teas, but, instead, she got a law degree and married a politically-ambitious man (according to her). She's to be applauded for that we were told. A STAH mum was just not as sophisticated. Now, this time around, this Hilary could stay at home with her adopted twins while her lesbian partner worked and that was fine. It was a "different" kind of family so it was applauded. But, Ms Rosen looks with sneering and smug contempt upon the choice that Ann Romney made. Evidently, she has some male, chauvinist pig friends that agree with her.

Amazing Mo... Simply amazing...
What was that Churchill said? Agian?
Yes, History of the spirited man has a away of repeating itself...
Perhaps it is a way of population control and to teach humility to the men Kind...
But no it's sad and evil history repeats itself...
"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy." Sir Winston
64 years later we on both sides of "the pond" are seeing the same insidious creep towards Socialism.
"LOL! I'm sure that there are more than a few Progs that would love that power."
Don't look now, but they DO!
They STLII believe what their leader said "A lie told often enough becomes the truth."
Lenin (1870 - 1924)
But unlike liars of the past, they now feel that there is no reason to even bother keeping their lies straight. Like you say, "Progressives have a predictable history because they write it", so when caught in a lie, they simply ignore it and claim to be taken "out of context".
PS
As ALWAYS Team Mo ROCKS with another great selection of music to read by!!!!!!!
JTGA, Hear! Hear! about the music she chooses...
And to think, how does she know these songs, she is not even that old...
Sometimes, the song comes to me. At other times, I work off of a couple of song lists until I find something that I like. When I go off of a list, I have to read the lyrics often just to make sure they work.
Besides, hick, you know that my dad was always playing music when I was growing up.
What was the song that you were surprised that I knew a few months ago? I can't remember. :-)
"I met a girl who sang the blue...
I asked her for some happy news... she just turn and walked away..
And the three man I admire the most, the Father the son and the Holy ghost caught the last train to the coast... the day music died...
"... I saw Satan laughing with delight, the day music died..."
