Recently, Bank of America agreed to pay $335 million
to the Department of Justice, much of which will go to African-American and
Hispanic mortgage borrowers, to settle a class action lawsuit. Why aren't they protesting Bank of America and its alleged discrimination and settlement?
Because
it wasn't Bank of America that was discriminating against minorities
with excellent credit and forcing them into sub-prime mortgages. In
the words of Jeremiah Wright, "No, No, No!" It was the Democratic
Party's one-time favourite mortgage company, COUNTRYWIDE!
You remember Countrywide, don't you? Angelo Mozillo? The Friends of Angelo VIP
mortgage programme designed to help "poor, needy" people like Senator Christopher
Dodd (D-State of MBNA) and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent
Conrad (D-North Dakota), and former, Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson,
former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's son, Paul Pelosi, Jr.,
Senator Barbara Boxer, Amb. Richard C. Holbrooke, Minority Whip James E. Clyburn (D-SC), and Donna Shalala,
former Secretary of HHS under Clinton and President of the University of Miami get the money so that they could obtain a piece of the American Dream and homeownership?
Bank of America acquired Countrywide in 2008 and was forced to pay for its discriminatory programmes.
Democrats favouring rich Democrats and discriminating against poor Democratic, constituency groups?
Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
