Look, I'm not a Tea Party fool, or a County Club Republican. My politics run counter to those...but I am a pilot and understand the risks---even in a Socata TBM-700. There were kids on board who had nothing to do with what those guys did for a living who are now dead. Common decency is never in poor taste.

Unhappy news. But why must it be noted that that two of the people were NY City investment bankers? What about the other 3 that perished? They don't matter because they're not investment bankers? Or this article supposed to make people say "yay two investment bankers are dead? All I know is the media is a sick institution and perpetuates a sick society.

All investment bankers are not crooks; It's the Bernie Madeoffs, and Corzines of the world that need to have justice.- hopefully the courts do their job, so the people don't start a posse and round these jokers up, and start a "treeing em justice".

This has got to be some sort of trick story to see how many O Thank God comments this story will get.

What a bunch of ignorant low life #$%$ are posting here every one of you self indulgent pigs should burn in Hates. Remember there was a wife and children aboard. But no you in your self righteous ignorance are spewing these heartless and inappropriate comments. You wonder whats wrong with this country.

The plane was a $2.7M high performance Socata TBM-700, not a modest Cessna or Piper. An expensive toy for the Wall Street 1%'ers.

One only has to read about 3 comments in order to get a true idea of how filthy and malicious the typcal Yahoo commenter is. I've never been more disgusted by the wickedness of my fellow humans than I am now after reading these comments. Pathetic and shameful and disgraceful. If there's a God, then I would hate to imagine what these commenters have coming to them.

Sounds like the wife and two children were victims as well. Who cares if they were investment bankers because at the end of the day they were people too. What they did for a living or the titles they held doesn't make them any better or less of a person. Horrible to hear about the loss of life, especially children around the holidays.

Honest people who pay taxes die everyday in America with no-health insurance. Why don't they get a world news report?

DebbiD, Rick and lots of others, you people are disgusting. Anybody that's successful is the enemy and deserves to die? Along with their family? You have no idea who these people were, or what good or bad things they might've done. But if they have more than you, well then they deserve to die? Idiots.

It looks like the decent people must get their news from some other source. 90% of what I see here makes me feel ashamed to be human. I did not know people could be so pathetic & hateful.

When I fly I have a pilot. When I go out to dinner I have a chef making the food. When I drink wine it is grown and bottled by someone else. When I'm sick I go to the doctor. At tax-time I use an accountant. When I buy clothes I leave the work to others and pay for it. I'm competent at some things but cannot knit socks. I feel for this guy, his associate and his family. Lucky he did not kill a bunch of people (with their families) on his crash.

These comments paint such a miserable commentary of our society. A very close friend of mine who was raised POOR, went to the U of Houston (a commuter school) and worked his tail off for years just cashed in and made at least $20 million when he sold his company. Along the way, a lot of other people made a lot of money as well, and he built a very valuable enterprise that still employs several hundred people. So many would hate him without even meeting him because he made it big, but he was smart, worked hard, took risks and deserves every penny. So what now if he has some big toys to go along with all that money? It's his right, and again, people are making money when he spends it. Don't get jealous, get rich. Figure out what you can do, and make it yourself. It can still happen in America.

...and if you elect me president in 2012, I'll give every investment banker an airplane.

This is what happens when you get rich and you think public transportation is beneath you. What's worse is that these rich men won't be entering heaven because it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle - according to Jesus.

Heartwarming, the "civility" the left engenders. The comments here lay bare the lie that the left is interested in civil discourse or "cares" about anyone--it relies solely on hatred, envy, and lies to further its agenda, regardless of who it slanders/libels. This is why when a Democrat tries to shame anyone, they should be laughed at and ridiculed. When the left finally realizes what it's created, it will be too late. Hatred knows no master--it inevitably consumes all.

To those of you who posted messages celebrating this tragedy, you are a collective, disgusting waste of breath. Hopefully you take turns rejoicing at the death of each other's family members.

Guess what? While you OWS will still wallow in your own filth for decades to come, other investment bankers will continue eating your lunch? Why? Because they are smarter, better educated, and have better looking wives. Merry Christmas to you in your trailer parks.

Nicely said, Quester1k. Can't believe those who rejoice in somebody's death. How low can you go? These were a young man, a dad who probably worked hard to provide for his family like most dads, his wife and kids. They all died just before Christmas. And no, this story isn't a trick, I'm less than a mile from the crash site.

Whatever, this is a very irrelevant story, who cares, much more people die due to driving while using the cellphone, for example. That should be a daily story, until this murderous and irresponsible nonsense is punished by at least as much as drunk driving, rather much more severe. -

That's so s... s... sa... No, who am I trying to kid. That's wonderful news. There is absolutely no reasons for bankers of any kind to be left alive. Time for dancing in the streets.

I don't believe in the strictly literal interpretation of the entire Bible... With that said, the commandment "Thous shalt not covet" was on to something. One only has to read a few comments to get an idea of the envy and wickedness that follows when a person does not obey that commandment.

Even dying these people are fancy. They had to have a plane, why not go to the airport. Wanted to be exclusive, well you had an exclusive death.

Seriously, Yahoo? Not "Two men and family" die? Any reason it needed to point out they were investment bankers?

Look people, a criminal is a criminal, whether Wall Street (Madoff, i.e.) or Main Street (that dude who broke into my garage, i.e.). The financial crisis was not created by a criminal conspiracy of "evildoer" bankers. The financial crisis was created by a massive overextension of credit to those who don't qualify for what they are borrowing. This took BOTH bankers AND borrowers to transact. BOTH are equally responsible. In addition, our wonderful government encoraged, and in some cases required, such lax borrowing standards.
As far as your hateful comments about the deceased, you should be ashamed. Being heartless, hateful and cruel is far worse than the "crimes" you are accusing bankers of.
Merry Christmas. -
All the people on here who hate the rich and insult the deceased, 2 things.

(1) You are pathetic.
(2) Try living in a society where there are no rich people.
These idiots actually believe that to be rich, than implies others must be made poor and taken advantage of. Poor people living in a country with very few rich people are much poorer than the poor people living in a country with a thriving "1%." -
