In The Democratic Party, The Bobby Byrds Never Cooooommmmmme Hoooooommmmme Tooooooooo Rooooooooossssttttt!!!

As noted a few years ago by Landmark Legal Foundation President Mark Levin:

'In April 1985, Governor Bill Clinton signed Act 985 into law, making the birthdates of Martin Luther King Jr. (the preeminent leader of the civil-rights movement) and Robert E. Lee (the general who led the Confederate army) state holidays on the same day.'

Governor Bill Clinton signed Arkansas Code Section 1-5-107, the bill creating Confederate Flag Day, into law.  It  provides as follows: 

(a) The Saturday immediately preceding Easter Sunday of each year is designated as ‘Confederate Flag Day’ in this state.

(b) No person, firm, or corporation shall display an Confederate flag or replica thereof in connection with any advertisement of any commercial enterprise, or in any manner for any purpose except to honor the Confederate States of America. [Emphasis added.]

(c) Any person, firm, or corporation violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000).

Further, in 1987, Bill Clinton signed a bill that designates one of the stars in the flag of the State of Arkansas to stand as a proud symbol of the Confederacy and, if that wasn't enough to even give Helen Gurley Brown second thoughts about Bill Clinton and blow jobs, surely (?) the proclamation that he issued designating a memorial for the President of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis, would.  Wouldn't it...or do even white, limousine liberals put abortion above racism, segregation, and slavery?

In their twelve years as Governor and First Lady, respectively, neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton lifted a finger or uttered the slightest audible protestation about Confederate Flag Day, the memorial to Jefferson Davis, the designation of the third Monday in January as a day to celebrate the births and lives of both Martin Luther King, Jr and General Robert E Lee (CSA), or to even ask that the state flag abandon some of its Confederate symbolism.

The number (25) of white stars around the border of the diamond represents Arkansas' position as the 25th state to join the union. The blue star above 'ARKANSAS' represents the Confederate States of America, which Arkansas joined in secession.

In fact, the Clintons did so little for the African-Americans on their plantation that the NAACP sued Governor Clinton under the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1965.  How 'Progressive' ... and, I bet dat des ain't no whays tyuhrerd either!!!

In the Democratic Party, you can be a Southern Governor like Billy Jeff and never take one act in your 12 years to remove the confederate flag from your capitol and sign Act 985 making the birthdays of Martin Luther King, Jr, the preeminent leader of the civil-rights movement, and Robert E Lee, the general who led the Confederate army, a state holiday - TO BE OBSERVED ON THE SAME DAY – AND STILL GET ELECTED President of the United States of America. Then, as POTUS, you can award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a staunch segregationist like William J Fulbright, who signed The Southern Manifesto opposing the Supreme Court's historic 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision, filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as voted against the 1965 Voting Rights Act all the while remaining a member of the Democratic Party in most excellent standing.  Yes, you can!  And, you can do all of this and STILL be the putative first black President of the United States of America.

Why?  Because in the Democratic Party, the Bobby Byrds never cooooommmmmme hoooooommmmme tooooooooo rooooooooossssttttt!

Of course, if you are a Republican, don’t try this at home…or at the 100^th birthday party of a former Democrat.  ‘Cuz, if you do, that would make you a RAAAAAAAAAAAAACIST!

*  Byrd joined the KKK in 1942 and was elected leader of his local chapter. Byrd later claimed to have become "disinterested" after about a year.  Not long after, however, 1946, to be exact he claimed that the 'KKK was needed today as never before' to stop the integration of the military.  I think that it is fair to say that Mr Byrd may have gone to Washington, but he took the Klan with him in heart, mind, and deed for a very, very long time.
