As
soon as we learned the identity of the two Boston Marathon bombers, I wondered
“Did they attend Menino’s Mosque?”
If
you’ve never heard of it, “Menino’s Mosque” is the cultural center built by the
Islamic Society of Boston using city/taxpayer resources–namely $2 million of
city land donated to the mosque for just $175,000. How does that happen? It
doesn’t hurt when the representative of the city and taxpayers is also a board
member of the Islamic Society of Boston.
I’ve
been writing, talking and complaining about this
taxpayer-funded violation of the First Amendment since 2006.
It was then that the ISB sent me a subpoena demanding my
emails, phone records and show notes related to my on-air conversations about
this scam.
Now
we find out that, yes, the bombers did attend ISB services at their Cambridge
location:
I
told them to “Kiss My Burkha,” and that was that.
'The Islamic Society
of Boston, attended by Boston Marathon bombing
suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, recently hosted a book event featuring a
journalist who has been highly critical of the U.S. and U.K. “War on Terror,”
which she described as a “war against Islam.”
The Islamic Society
of Boston also encouraged its members to show their “support of the forgotten
women of the War on Terror.”
The
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based mosque and its satellite cultural center — which announced its indefinite
closing Friday in light
of “the terrible and sad events of last night, the criminal of the
bombings on the loose, and the strong recommendations of our Governor” — hosted a book signing and “Meet the Author” event April 6 with British journalist and former Guardian
editor Victoria Brittain, who discussed her book “Shadow Lives: The Forgotten
Women of the War on Terror.”
That
rhetoric is typical of the ISB, where parishioners are given Koranic teachings by
radicals like Al-Qaradawi (the first major imam to call for women to join the
suicide bombing movement). But even they found Tamerlan Tsarnaev a bit much to take:
'At the Cambridge
mosque near where the bombing suspects lived, two worshipers who showed up for
Saturday’s prayer service recalled seeing both men.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev was
thrown out of the mosque — the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center —
about three months ago, after he stood up and shouted at the imam during a
Friday prayer service, they said. The imam had held up slain civil rights
leader Martin Luther King
Jr. as an example of a man to emulate, recalled one worshiper
who would give his name only as Muhammad.
Enraged, Tamerlan
stood up and began shouting, Muhammad said.
“You cannot mention
this guy because he’s not a Muslim!” Muhammad recalled Tamerlan shouting,
shocking others in attendance.
“He’s crazy to me,”
Muhammad said. “He had an anger inside.… I can’t explain what was in his mind.”
Tamerlan was then
kicked out of the prayer service for his outburst, Muhammad recalled. “You
can’t do that,” Muhammad said of shouting at the imam.
Still, Tamerlan
returned to Friday prayer services and had no further outbursts, Muhammad said.'
The
Tsarnaev family back in Russia insist that their sons were radicalized in
America, not in the Caucasus. Richard Haass of the Council on Foreign Relations points
out the similarities
between the Boston bombings and the 7/7 attacks in London, and we know those terrorists were radicalized in
the West.
What
does this prove? Nothing. But if the Islamists who helped poison the minds of
these young men were people they met through a taxpayer-funded mosque in
Massachusetts, that would be a tragic and painful irony.

calls on Allah (God) to kill Zionists and Jews, according to Americans for
Peace and Tolerance, an interfaith group that has investigated the mosques…’
